Bangladesh's software industry has grown well beyond low-cost outsourcing, and the choice of partner matters more than the price. This is the short version of our ranking: the top five companies from our editorial list of 25. For the full list, see Top 25 Software Companies in Bangladesh (2026 Guide), and for a deeper comparison of the first ten, read Top 10 Software Companies in Bangladesh (2026 Guide).

Editor's note: this guide is published by Kaz Software, and Kaz is listed first. The order reflects our editorial judgment, not a scored or independently audited ranking, so read it as one company's opinion. Team sizes, project counts and client numbers are company-reported unless a source is linked, so verify anything you rely on with the vendor. Last reviewed: September 28, 2026.

The last column is the only independent signal here, taken from BASIS's FY2024-25 top-10 IT exporters list. Export revenue is one measure among many, so absence from that list says little about quality or fit.

1. Kaz Software

Kaz Software is a Dhaka-based software company founded in 2004. It builds custom software, AI-enabled applications and product engineering for clients in healthcare, manufacturing, eCommerce, agritech, NGOs and enterprise. Its work for furniture manufacturer HATIL is a good example of software built around a specific industry's operations. Kaz reports 250+ projects, 200+ companies served and delivery across 35+ countries (company-reported). For independent context, The Business Standard listed Kaz among BASIS's top ten software exporters by volume over the five years reported in 2023; it is not in the FY2024-25 top ten.

Best suited for: custom platforms, AI-enabled applications, enterprise systems and industry-specific software.

2. DataSoft

DataSoft has operated for more than two decades and reports a team of 300+ IT professionals (company-reported). Its work is large operational systems rather than simple apps: port and land management, financial inclusion, microfinance, core banking, IoT and infrastructure automation.

Best suited for: government, banking and large operational platforms.

3. BJIT

BJIT is known for its long-running connection to Japan and offers software outsourcing, enterprise applications, AI and deep learning, and IoT and embedded engineering. It was named among BASIS's FY2024-25 top-10 IT exporters. Its group profile reports 750+ engineers across eight countries; that figure covers the wider BJIT group, not only Bangladesh.

Best suited for: Japanese clients, offshore engineering, AI and embedded systems.

4. Vivasoft

Founded in 2016, Vivasoft focuses on team augmentation, offshore development and MVP delivery. It reports around 300 colleagues and offices in Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia and the UK (company-reported).

Best suited for: startups, MVPs and companies that need extra engineering capacity.

5. LeadSoft

LeadSoft has operated since 1999 and reports a core team of 300+ (company-reported). Its main product is BankUltimus, a core banking solution, alongside software for non-bank financial institutions, agent banking, capital markets, insurance and ERP.

Best suited for: banks, financial institutions and other financial-services software.

How this shortlist was chosen

We considered years of operation, specialization, international reach and publicly documented client work, and we cite independent evidence where it exists. Export revenue is only one measure, so a company's absence from any single list says little about quality. See the full methodology and sources in the Top 25 guide.
