Choosing an LMS Development Company in Bangladesh: 12 Questions
Disclosure: Kaz Software publishes this guide and builds the DTCLMS learning platform. We have tried to keep the advice useful whichever vendor you choose. Apply these questions to us as well as to everyone else.
Start with your own brief
Vendors answer the question you ask. Before you talk to anyone, write down your learner numbers, content formats, roles, compliance needs, integrations, languages and timeline. Our LMS Requirements Checklist: What to Put in Your RFP gives you a structure, and Custom LMS Development Cost in Bangladesh: What Drives the Price explains what moves the price.
12 questions to ask every LMS vendor
1. Can you play my own content? Ask for a demo using one of your SCORM or xAPI packages, not a sample.
2. Who owns the source code and the data? Get the answer in writing.
3. Which standards, and which versions? SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, HTML5: ask for specifics.
4. What is your evidence on security? Ask about access control, input handling and testing, and for reports, not adjectives.
5. Can I see the API documentation? Good documentation is a sign of an engineered product.
6. Who will work on my project? Ask who they are and how long they have worked together.
7. Can I speak to a client with a similar need? A real reference is worth more than a logo.
8. How do you handle changes after the contract is signed? Ask how scope changes are priced.
9. What does support look like after launch? Ask about response times and who answers.
10. Do you support Bangla and English? Ask to see Bangla text in the interface, quizzes and certificates.
11. How is AI used, where does data go, and can I turn it off? See AI Tutors in an LMS: How They Work and the Risks to Manage.
12. What does it cost to leave? Ask about data export, handover and documentation.
Red flags
A price before any questions about your needs.
No live demo, only slides.
'We support everything' with no specifics.
No reference clients, or reluctance to arrange a conversation.
Security described only with adjectives.
No way to export your data.
Cannot explain the difference between SCORM and xAPI. See SCORM vs xAPI: What's the Difference and Which Does Your LMS Need?.
How to run a fair comparison
Send every vendor the same brief. Score the answers against weights you set in advance, for example fit to your workflow, evidence of delivery, security, support and cost. For a larger project, pay for a short pilot or discovery phase with your shortlist before the final choice.
Where to find companies
For a wider view of software companies in Bangladesh, see our Top 25 Software Companies in Bangladesh (2026 Guide) and Top 10 Software Companies in Bangladesh (2026 Guide). Kaz Software publishes them and is listed first, as the editor's note in each explains, so treat the order as our opinion. Frequently asked questions
How many vendors should I compare?
Three is usually enough to compare well, with one pilot or paid discovery step before the final choice.
Should I choose the cheapest quote?
Compare what is included. Cheap quotes often leave out integrations, security work, content migration or support.
Is a local company better than an offshore one?
Not automatically. Local teams are easier to meet and support in your time zone and language, but capability and references matter more than location.
